Batavia City Council approved the Batavia Community Health Improvement Program for eligible residents and businesses. The program gives participants access to TAP’s medical team for routine, nonemergency needs. The fee is $9 per month per participating utility account and covers up to 10 people.
No. Participation is optional. The program includes eligible utility accounts unless the account holder opts out. You can opt out now using TAP’s web form, by text or by phone. You can also opt out by mail or in person at Batavia City Hall. See the City’s program notice for details. You do not need to give a reason.
Have the account holder’s name and full service address with unit number and ZIP code. The web form also requests a phone number; you can provide an email address. Your utility account number is optional and can be left blank. Do not include symptoms, medical records, payment-card numbers or a Social Security number.
Declining TAP participation does not cancel your utilities. Continue paying your utility charges as usual. Any TAP billing change is handled through the participation and billing process.
After the program’s launch, during your first 12 months of paid participation, contact the City of Batavia to request a refund. If you qualify, the City can refund up to $9 for each month you paid. The City can confirm the amount and when a billing change will appear. Contact TAP for help with your opt-out request, and keep your confirmation.
STOP is used for text-message preferences. To start a program opt-out, text DECLINE to (855) 687-3113, then complete the form in the reply. You can also go directly to the web form or call the participation line.
Yes. TAP complements your usual care. It is not health insurance, and some concerns require an in-person evaluation. Your clinician can help you understand the appropriate next step. For emergencies, call 911.
