Launch Date: November 2022
TAP’S DEBUT: FERRIS LAUNCH
In November 2022, Tap (Text a Physician) officially launched in Ferris, Texas. This inaugural deployment established a community-wide healthcare model centered on improving accessibility and affordability for all local residents.
COMMUNITY USAGE: 2800+ ENCOUNTERS
Since its launch, Tap has completed 2,800+ encounters with Ferris residents. By managing these cases remotely, Tap not only provides immediate patient access but also alleviates strain on local ERs and urgent cares, preserving in-person resources for more critical medical needs.
USER FEEDBACK: 9.94/10 POSITIVE RATINGS
User feedback has been exceptional, with the platform earning a cumulative 9.94/10 rating. Beyond convenience, Tap delivers tangible value by providing access to low-cost prescriptions and medical advice that reduces treatment costs and recovery time, allowing residents to return to work or school sooner. These ratings underscore Tap’s impact on patient outcomes, where access to affordable prescriptions and advice directly translate into lower healthcare costs and a faster return to work or school.
COMMUNITY IMPACT: PROVIDING CITY RELIEF
Tap has reduced the load on EMS resources by curbing non-emergency 911 calls. Coupled with a decrease in school absences, the platform has created meaningful savings for residents, Ferris ISD, and Ferris’ Emergency Services.
