Cold sores
Tingling followed by small blisters around the mouth can fit a cold sore. New or unusual lesions may need an examination.

- Tingling or burning sensation around the mouth
- Small, fluid-filled blisters
- Redness
- Crusting or scabbing
- Pain or tenderness
